Notable Projects

Project Name Start Date End Date Details
White House Press Lobby Skype Integration 21 January 2017 30 January 2017 Press Secretary Sean Spicer requested Skype capabilities to brief press personnel who cannot afford to provide a dedicated body to the press lobby. Using a 72 hour deadline the first implementation used publicly available 'Skype Personal' version and additional hardware to integrate available cameras and audio. Within one week the system was upgraded and integrated into the broadcast system available through White House Master Control and Talkshow VS 4000. Additional details cannot be disclosed in a public forum.
Vice President Speech Macro 11 May 2017 11 May 2017 Changing requirements in Vice President Pence's preferred speech delivery format led to a new requirement for speech format. A new macro was created and the previous macro was tweaked to accommodate multiple formats.
White House Press Lobby Podium Display Upgrade Integration 12 May 2017 15 May 2017 Press Secretary Sean Spicer requested an information display to be integrated into press lobby podium. The original request was a simple network clock, however it was upgraded to additional information display such as schedule, order, and remote guest identification, however this feature is not used due to low resolution monitors. All features developed in Java
Presidential Teleprompting System Upgrade 8 June 2017 Current Presidential TP system required an upgrade in system hardware and procedures. The system was put through a network lockdown and upgrade process to remove user ability to modify system settings. The new TP procedures allowed for the system to be networked together through a file sharing service to enable realtime updating of speeches without changes to hardware configuration which had a tendency to crash TP systems.
